To eradicate systemic disparities by removing the barriers that contribute to those inequities in our community. BHF provides access to opportunities to minority and underrepresented families and individuals so they can build a healthier future.

History

Founded in 2021 by a diverse group of professionals in the fields of Health, Education and Housing. Together, we seek to provide direct services to families and individuals in need within these fundamental areas, using data-driven models that make a long-lasting difference.

  • You can conveniently apply for services by submitting an online application on our website. You can select the program you are seeking assistance for and can choose to apply to multiple programs with just one application, if needed.

  • The time it takes from submitting an application to receive services depends on several factors, including the program you apply for, and funding availability, among others. It is our goal to serve as many people as possible and as quickly as possible.

    Upon submitting an application for service, you will receive a call from staff within a week. During this call, we will explain the process and provide a specific timeline based on the applicant's situation and the resources available.

  • At this time, the best way to reach us is to fill out a contact me form, and will respond to your inquiry within 48 hours.

  • All of BHF’s services are provided at no-cost to qualified applicants. This is determined upon review or your application and based on proof of additional factors such as income and geographic area.

  • Currently, BHF provides services to residents of Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa.
